For months my floral maxi dress has been hanging in my closet waiting for the perfect occasion to be taken out again. When my boyfriend suggested a date night I knew it would be the perfect piece to wear. We went 52 floors up the Prudential Center to Top of the Hub which had a view of the entire city. It was a beautiful sight and the food matched the ambiance. For the first ten minutes of dinner I sat looking for my favorite landmarks; Newbury Street and the Charles River. We sat eating, talking, and enjoying the sights as time felt endless.

Cuando mi novio sugiere una noche de cita Sabía que iba a ser la pieza perfecta para el desgaste. Fuimos 52 pisos más arriba el Prudential Center al principio de la concentradores que tenía una visión de toda la ciudad. Era un espectáculo hermoso y la comida emparejado el ambiente. Para los primeros diez minutos de la cena me senté en busca de mi lugares favoritos; Newbury Street y el río Charles. Nos sentamos comer, hablar y disfrutar de las vistas con el tiempo sentí sin fin.

The perfect mix of cocktails, Mediterranean food, and sushi equals one place; Le Garage. The casual up-scale restaurant has three rooms to choose to enjoy your meal in a casual bar, sushi bar, or romantic dining room. The staff is so nice & friendly and the bartender even came to our table and prepared his special "fruits of the forest mojito" which was filled with fresh raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, apples and mint! My favorite is the mai-tai which I get as soon as I enter the restaurant. They have a delicious mix of Mediterranean foods like their three dips (hummus, guacamole, & tzatiki) and white rice with egg starters. My favorite salad (which I order every time) is their melon's feta salad which is slices of fresh melon, watermelon, feta, oregano, and kalamata olives. The mixture reminds me of a warm summers day and each bite is delicious. They also have a large amount of entrees of fish and meats to choose from but I also opt for the sushi. It is the perfect restaurant with a location to match (it is right across from Retiro Park). It is a wonderful place to enjoy after a night stroll in the park even if it's just for a casual cocktail. 

...Likes a Jazz Man

Remember in the Sex and the City series when Big teases Carrie because she "likes a jazz man"? That was all I could think about when I stopped at the Jazz Cafe during my spring break stop in Milan after shopping, shopping, shopping. On our hectic day of non-stop store-seeing (no sight-seeing for me) I stopped at the cute outdoor restaurant for lunch, The Jazz Cafe. Bread was served in a white paper bag which reminded me on my days in elementary and middle school. The day was beautiful and I sat outside to enjoy my cafe latte and salad. My boyfriend order the lemon-chicken which was brought out on a wooden cutting board that was bigger than my whole body! The food was delicious and the outdoor seating was full of younger Italian. Next time I am in Milan I will make sure to come back here!

The weekends in Madrid are just gorgeous. The sun is shining and every restaurant / cafe has outdoor seating so you can enjoy the great ambiance of the city. (That is where you'll find all the Spaniards) My favorite lunch place in the city is Harina; a small bread (pan) place. The breads, salads, sandwiches and daily-made pastries are the fresh-est you will get in the city and it is just delicious. I am a sucker for the goat cheese salad and mint lemonade which I order EVERY time I am there. The lemonade tastes like a virgin mojito that should be sipped on your own private island. Ah...I just love the taste of summer.

My Sunday Hangout

Even though most places are closed on Sundays I waste no time on enjoying the day; especially in Madrid. After hanging out in Retiro Park or shopping at El Rastro I go to my favorite breakfast / lunch place, Le Pain Quotidien; a cute, cozy bread restaurant. The store reminds me of home with its cozy atmosphere, outlet spots, and daily newspaper. Its the perfect place to enjoy a cappuccino or cafe latte (cafe con leche). You can get a range of soups, sandwitches, and salads that are all accompanied with tons of bread. And try to save room for their yummy desserts! Its a perfect way to spend a lazy sunday.
