Boston Fashion Week: Second Time Around

I was lucky enough to be a part of Boston's Fashion Week. My first show was yesterday and was happy that it was for Second Time Around; a store that sells second hand low end and high end clothes. The event took place at the gorgeous W Hotel where my boyfriend and I were hesitant and eager to book a room for the night. Each model was styled by The Stylist's Closets own Terri Mahn. Sequins, lace, short vests, and even bright red converses strutted up and down the runway. It was a night of fashion, styling, cocktails, and shopping all in one.    

Tuve la suerte de ser parte de la Semana de la Moda de Boston. Mi primer concierto fue ayer y estaba feliz de que lo fue para Second Time Around, una tienda que vende final de segunda mano baja y la ropa de gama alta. El evento tuvo lugar en el magnífico Hotel W donde mi novio y yo estábamos indecisos y con ganas de reservar una habitación para pasar la noche. Cada modelo fue diseñado por Closets El estilista propio Mahn Terri. Lentejuelas, encajes, chalecos cortos, e incluso de color rojo brillante conversos se pavoneaba por toda la pista. Fue una noche de moda, estilo, cócteles y tiendas, todo en uno.

Plaid For Me

I have never been one to wear plaids especially as an oxford button up because of the simple reason that it reminds me of a farm girl instead of the city girl that I am. When I found this plaid top from the Gap I knew it was for me with the soft colors and ruffles. I wore it to shop up and down the streets of Newbury to peak at Alexa Chung's collaboration with Madewell. I was in love with all her pieces and could not go home without one.   

Nunca he sido de los que usan cuadros, especialmente como un botón de Oxford para arriba debido a la sencilla razón de que me recuerda a una niña de la granja en lugar de la chica de ciudad que soy. Cuando encontré esta camiseta a cuadros de la Brecha sabía que era para mí con los colores suaves y volantes. Yo lo llevaba a la tienda de arriba abajo las calles de Newbury llegar al máximo a la colaboración con Alexa Chung Madewell. Yo estaba enamorado de todas sus piezas y no podía volver a casa sin él.

Top of the Hub, Boston

For months my floral maxi dress has been hanging in my closet waiting for the perfect occasion to be taken out again. When my boyfriend suggested a date night I knew it would be the perfect piece to wear. We went 52 floors up the Prudential Center to Top of the Hub which had a view of the entire city. It was a beautiful sight and the food matched the ambiance. For the first ten minutes of dinner I sat looking for my favorite landmarks; Newbury Street and the Charles River. We sat eating, talking, and enjoying the sights as time felt endless.

Durante meses, mi vestido maxi florales ha estado colgando en mi armario esperando la ocasión perfecta para tomarse de nuevo. Cuando mi novio sugiere una noche de cita Sabía que iba a ser la pieza perfecta para el desgaste. Fuimos 52 pisos más arriba el Prudential Center al principio de la concentradores que tenía una visión de toda la ciudad. Era un espectáculo hermoso y la comida emparejado el ambiente. Para los primeros diez minutos de la cena me senté en busca de mi lugares favoritos; Newbury Street y el río Charles. Nos sentamos comer, hablar y disfrutar de las vistas con el tiempo sentí sin fin.

Wishy Washy Weather

The confused weather lately has been keeping me in a daily routine of cooking in & laying around to watch my favorite television series. To get myself out of my funk and out of the house I threw on my favorite flow-y top. It makes me feel cute but comfortable and is perfect when the weather drastically changes from dark and cloudy to cool and sunny.This summer this piece will be my go to but in the fall I can see myself pairing it with tights and neutral booties.

El tiempo confundido últimamente me ha estado teniendo una rutina diaria de la cocina y en el que se establecen alrededor para ver mi serie favorita de televisión. Para mí fuera de mi funk y fuera de la casa me echó encima en mi favorito-y el flujo. Me hace sentir cómodos y bonitos, pero es perfecto cuando el clima cambia drásticamente desde el oscuro y nublado a fresco y soleado.

Florals in Boston

Boston is the most wonderful place to sit outside, grab a coffee, and do some serious shopping. My shopping the other day took me to Diane von Furstenberg a newly opened store on Newbury Street. I found myself in love with each piece and made sure I went out with one of her famous wrap dresses.

Boston es el lugar más maravilloso para sentarse al aire libre, tomar un café, y hacer algunas compras en serio. Mi carro el otro día me llevó a Diane von Furstenberg una tienda de reciente apertura en Newbury Street. Me encontré en el amor con cada pieza y se aseguró de que salí con uno de sus vestidos wrap famosos.

Home Sweet Home

The first thing I was excited to do after my return home was to shop up and down Newbury Street. It brought back so many memories and I filled my closet with gorgeous new pieces. Since being home the weather has been cloudier and cooler than I remember and am used to but, being home is so nice and refreshing.

Lo primero que se animó a hacer después de mi regreso a casa fue a la tienda de arriba a abajo la calle Newbury. Me trajo muchos recuerdos y me llena mi armario con magníficas piezas nuevas. Desde su inicio el clima ha sido nublado y fresco que me acuerdo y estoy acostumbrado a, pero estar en casa es tan agradable y refrescante.

As one chapter in my life closes another one opens. As much as I will miss Madrid I am also happy to go home to see my family and friends. My next posts will be from Boston I hope you enjoy my change in scenery and city!
